Here are the people behind LPA movingPictures

Kevin O'Connor: Managing Director / producer

Kevin trained to become a master black and white printer before moving on to assist photographers in fashion and advertising studios. He ran his own photographic and post-production studios (O'Connor/Dowse Studio) in London, working on award-winning advertising campaigns for clients including Benson and Hedges, Guinness, Fiat, Digital Corporation, Mercedes Benz and Smirnoff.

Wishing to broaden his understanding of photography as a fine art medium, Kevin gained a postgraduate diploma in Photography: History, Culture and Criticism from the London College of Printing.

In 1997, Kevin conceived and founded the London Photographic Awards. For four years, he organised and managed the annual competition that culminated in a traveling exhibition across the UK, Europe and the USA. A coffee table catalogue supported each exhibition, three of which won prizes in the New York Festival. Kevin then formed  the London Photographic Association in 2001 to reflect the uptake and influence of digital technology on the way commercial and fine art photography is commissioned, produced, and marketed.
