My work is meant to be consumed with your emotions, and not simply perceived with your senses. The contingents between drowning and floating, falling and flying, dying and living are some of the main intangible themes of my work. I attempts to emphasize the transcendental meaning behind them; not only with the use of composition and chromatics.
But a focus on the philosophical theories; a "subliminal composition" to create an underlying message to stress the strong influences of unconscious elements affecting and driving people's lives. The creation of a strong undercurrent of communicable thoughts would be the stage for illuminating the subconscious intellect into a state of perception; not deception.
Born in a small town in rural North Carolina, I quickly became transformed by the arts as a young boy. Beginning as a abstract painter and figurative sculptor; my motivation grew from my interest of luminosity of chroma and it's psychophysical effects. Looking back at it now, it seems like a very logical progression from painting to sculpture to photography! Photography holds all the intrinsic values of all the other arts; but it is the foundation of the origins of existence.
Nothing can exist without the photon, and every aspect is controlled by it's usage. After attending school for commercial photography; I soon found myself working full time at an established photography studio specializing in high-end contemporary furniture. Realizing after a couple of years in the commercial world of consumable Relaxation products wasn't exactly what I desired. So I decided to dedicate myself to my real passion as a fine art photographer. Fuel for my creative passions continually propel me not only into far off boundaries of the world; such as France,Italy,and most recently Japan. But more significantly; the exploration of my inner facilities; in the pursuit of contemporary knowledge expressing "original thoughts".
